At I-Con, Harlan was talking about an Eddie Izzard routine about "Star Wars." During the rest of the convention people kept coming up to me and saying, "You know, there's a Legos version of that bit." So here it is:

Feel a bit guilty about not being able to set aside time to work on it after seeing the Lego version, tho.
“Hello. Look, I'm Lord Vader and just pay a-bloody-ttention, all right? Luke, Luke, the Force is strong with you."
"Is it?"
"Yeah."
"Well, who told you that?"
"Some bloke! Yeah, he said the Force was really rather strong with you."
"Well, how strong?"
"Uh, as strong as a small pony."
I am pretty sure I could watch that over and over and over and never get tired of it. Eddie Izzard is a genius, but whoever put together that Lego bit is damn clever him/herself.
And the wonderful thing is, I think James Earl Jones has enough of a sense of humor that I can imagine him reciting Vader's lines in this routine...
(True story: when he was still voicing Verizon commercials, Jones toured a Verizon call center and actually took calls. I wish he got a complainant so he could respond "Perhaps you feel you are being treated unfairly?")

I think I could be convinced to pay massive amounts of money to see that. (I also think you're right that I could see him going for it.)
Love having Jar-Jar cutting ahead of him in line.
Izzard is just incredible.

I just posted this to my LJ page...I have to get all my friends to see this!
Oh, too frelling cool for words. Izzard is such the dude. He's going to do a tour, and I want so much to go.
If you haven't watched any of his stand-up bits except for this, go rent "Dress to Kill" or "Glorious" right now. Hey! What are you doing still sitting here at your desk? I gave you an order! Don't make me pick up this here tray...
Brilliant!!!!!! I'll never quite look at Lego the same way though...
This is definitely one of my absolute favorite routines of his. And watching it with Legos just makes it all the better. :)
