Tigerheart at the NYCC

As part of their promotional endeavors for "Tigerheart," Del Rey has taken out advertising on 3-Day Membership badges at the New York Comic Con. Anyone buying a 3-Day membership badge, either on line or at participating comic shops, will receive a badge that looks like this:

Also Del Rey will be giving out a limited number of advance galley proofs on one of the days of the con and I'll be there to sign it. More specifics on that to come.

Too bad I can't get there, being several thousand miles away. BTW, a Jeff Smith quote? Fantastic!

Is there any chance that Stephen King will approve comicbook adaptations of existing novels he's written, like It? And might he do some writing himself for Marvel?

Peter,

I saw you are coming to Dragoncon again this year, and I've set my calendar. Will you be hosted through Trek Trak again this year, or have you thought about maybe being hosted this year by another track (i.e. young adult literature) to get a little more exposure to Tiger Heart? Either way, I've been counting the days since the reading last year and look forward to the release!

Argh... I finally get to travel to NYC and am arriving a week after that Con ends...

Oh well, my family would probably hate me if I use this vacation to do what I do at home, but I would have enjoyed the chance to say hi to PAD. Any chance you plan to visit Spain again soon?

Mr. David, I hope you'll be doing a Tigerheart signing in Boston. I look forward to buying this the first day it's out.

I do not know if I am doing signings anywhere. Unless you happen to be a media figure, publishers seem increasingly reluctant to spend the money shipping you around.

I hope this sells well. If it sells well enough maybe we will see Peter's adult fantasy series Sir Apropos of Nothing see a fourth book as the ending of the third book was most unsatisfying in closing the series.
