Migration hell

Well, when the hosting company says "no action will be required on your part for this migration. We will archive and copy the site content to the new server", they're wrong.

Bear with us. And by bear, we mean one of those Stephen Colbert bears.

Oh, and if you're having site problems, post about them here.

I only was able to get to this page by going to Kathleen David's site and clicking on the Valentines Day post, then clicking ahead up top. Every time I try to go straight to PAD's site I get a page from 2004. (One from the Fair and Balanced protest days) I was worried that it was my computer, since I just got a new one and switched over to a Mac.

Congratulations on switching to Mac.

The RSS feed appears to be working, but the post about you at the Toy Fair keeps giving me an error.

I actually enjoyed reading those posts from 2004. I felt like I was in a time warp.

Thanks George. I was tired of the glitches, the virus worry and I didn't want any part of Vista. (A nightmare from what I've heard.) It was definitely time for a new computer, so I made the leap. So far I am very happy.

Sorry for the triple post. It appeared that the post wasn't going through.

I still cannot get the main page (2008 version) to load - although my brother, two time zones away and with a much nicer set-up, can. (OTOH, the "Remember me" actually remembered my name and e-mail, for the first time, like, ever.)

Yes! Just to follow up I've got the front page back now!

Hm, the old malibulist address I'd had bookmarked is frozen in 2004.
