I'll be appearing today at Jim Hanley's Universe in Midtown Manhattan (near the Empire State Building) from 6 to 8 PM along with Dan Slott for a sort of "passing of the torch" appearance vis a vis "She-Hulk."
Hope to see you there.

Crap! I'll be in Manhattan next week!
Well, I hope your store appearance is well-attended, and that everyone has a really good time. :)
Mr. David-
I had a dream about you last night. I thought you get a big chuckle out of my weird, inspired, no doubt, by White Castle-at-10PM dreams. I won some sort of contest and you came to my house to spend the night. We had a get-together of all my closest friends and relatives. We watched some Halloween-type movie. Grandpa from the Munsters was at this get together, recognized you, stood up and introduced you to a standing ovation.
Weird, no?
I wish I lived in New York.
And curses to you, Mr. David, for making me continue to lose three dollars a month on She-Hulk comics. I thought with you jumping on I might be able to kick the habit but NO! You just had to get me hooked in again, didn't you?
Damn! Although I’ll be in the city today, I have to run back north otherwise I’d be looking to get you to bowl a game or two!
I have a question that is off topic alittle...
Peter (or anyone else for that matter) do you have an email address for the editors and or publishers of the startrek series over at Simon and Shuster? I have looked all over that site and had no luck...
Thanks
John
You're not going to be un-invited at the last minute are you?
I lived in Tampa for a while, and while there, I used to get my 'stash' (comic books, of course) at a local comic shop.
The owner of the shop rented out space in the back to none other than comic artist Pat Broderick...sometimes he'd have his desk beside a window so the patrons could see what he was working on...
Does anyone know if any other comic shops do that? I always thought that would be a great draw for people to come into the shop...
DT
Okay, another question for y'all....
a friend on another board told me that there were places on the internet where you could get comics for free, electronically...something called 'torrents?' Anyone know about these things, and are you telling me that someone actually SITS there and SCANS every page of a comic book? I've done some scanning of family photos and even THAT is a pain in the butt---I can't imagine scanning comic books....
One guy said he got a complete run of Batman...
Isn't that illegal?
Yep, completely illegal.
But hey, it's a victimless crime, like robbing blind people.
SEE YA THERE PETER! I never miss a Dan Slott NYC signing, even better that you'll be there. I'll at the front of the line wearing The Thing poker T-Shirt.
I think it's more fitting to call it a switching of the torch, seeing as Dan will be writing ASM, and of course your run on Friendly Neighborhood Spidey is over.
in any case, it's just a few more hours, so see ya there, with a few suprises of my own ;)
Just read your first issue of She-Hulk. Looks like it's off to an interesting start. I added She-Hulk to my subscription box after learning that you were taking over the writing chores. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for Jen.

Loved the apperance of Titania. It's coincidentally timed with some posts over at www.politedissent.com dealing with tiny people entering other people's bodies for precise surgery/sneak attacks (and, in one case, for controlling a dead Batman like a puppet and ultimately revivifying him).
Thanks for the signatures on my books, Peter. I added those photos I took to the Wikipedia articles on you and Mr. Slott.
Btw, I read She-Hulk last night, and I really liked it. In addition to the story/action, I also liked the art. This is my first encounter with Shawn Moll's art, and it seems really nice. He's chosen to go the "lots of cross-hatching" route, and unlike many other artists who go that route, he seems to know how to apply it properly, with an eye towards real-world lighting and shades of grey. Creel looks great on Page 14, a "quiet" page. Moll's anatomy is also good. He not only gets Absorbing Man's muscles right, but in that shot of Shulkie on Page 16, he does a great job of actually making her abdominals look three-dimensional. Given the angle at which he body is to the reader, and the fact that her torso is twisted, that's not something I see often.
PAD,
Any plans to swing up to the windy city any time soon?
