Cale, Cale, the gang's all here

Received the following missive from Andy Schmidt, the editor who basically willed both the Madrox LS and "X-Factor" into existence:

"I'm pleased to announce that Alix and I had a son on Sunday, July 1st, 2007. His name is Cale Richard Schmidt, he weighed in at 7 lbs, 11 oz, and is purely awesome."

Naturally I was hoping for (a) multiple births or (b) that the kid would be named Jamie. But, hey, a happy event is a happy event.

So many cute kids! If any of you frequent types didn't hear, Jerry Chandler's son Ian was born on the second. Once he catches his breath he'll letcha all know more.

Cute ... can't get a better word in my head. Its simply cute.

I am always amazed about how small babys are but how much endless potential lies in them.

Jamie? Well at least the name wouldn't be as obvious as the name Kevin Smith gave his daughter (even though its not a bad one).

He is a beautiful baby! But also such a serious, thoughtful-looking baby. Like ... he knows stuff.
