You renewed your vows, Peter? That's really nice. Happy Anniversary to you both! :-)
You guys got married on the Emory Quad.
Is that the religious library or the museum behind you?
It's like one of those situation comedies where some regular average looking Joe marries the woman waaaaaaay out of his league.
Seriously, it's always great to read the genuine love and affection that comes through whenever you two talk about the other. Congratulations and many many more.
The only thing that could have made the photo better was if Peter was wearing his giant Hulk Hands. Wait, did I say "better?"
Great photo!
Verrrry nice.
Hope Jenn and I still look that happy that far along in the marriage.
I'm pretty sure it's the Humanities building.
(Speaking as an Emory alum and someone who worked there until last year, not someone who was at the wedding).
The wedding was actually in Cannon Chapel at Emory University; this particular photo was indeed taken on the Quad.
Time and memory are strange things--on one level, it seems like it was just yesterday and on another, it seems much longer than the six years and counting that it's been.
Happy Sixth Anniversary, Kath and Peter.
It's indeed a beautiful photo, and a reminder of what's truly important in this world. Thank you for sharing it.
Okay, in reading Kathleen's blog, I see that you didn't renew your vows, so that's a pic from the actual wedding. It's still lovely, of course. :-)
The building behind us is the religion school's library as it looks on the Quad.
I thought it might be the history building but I looked again and figured I got switched around.
Happy Anniversary!
You just be sure you keep treating that woman of yours right, you hear? ;)

that is the definition of the term I am trying to introduce into the english lexicon "SITCOM WIFE", Basicaly when a "also participated" contestant wound up with a trophy wife

Congratulations! But hey, don't let all this happiness get in the way of writing kick-arse X-Factor.
(By the way, you probably don't remember me, but I'm the British Michael you met at the last minute of the NY comic-con.)
Aaaaaaawwwww, how cute.
So the Princess kissed the Frog and he turned into a Prince? (g, d, r!)

I doubt anyone's still reading this thread, but I have to ask...
I got married at Emory as well, but I graduated from there. (Twice.) How did the two of you end up way down in Atlanta? Did Kath go there?
Kathleen's family and most of her friends live down in Atlanta. My friends and family are scattered all over the map. If we'd held it in New York, it still would have entailed traveling for a considerable number of people. By doing it down in Atlanta a sizeable portion of the attendees were already down there. Plus since Kath's parents were handling many of the arrangements, it made it simpler.

Ah, thanks.
Emory's a lovely campus. I miss it lots. (Well, not in the summer.)
