Photos of Peter's signing at Midtown Comics, and Dark Tower Interview

Jae Lee and Peter David preparing to sign

The signing photos are here and there's a separate interview with Peter as well.

Ask Peter about that puppet on his hand, which helped him become hoarse by the end of the evening...

Caption Contest time!

"You know, I think the guy at the toupee shop ripped me off."

"And that's when I heard the screeching brakes, and I knew I'd never get to participate in the Westminster Kennel Club show again."

So, Peter...what's up with the puppet?

What, three posts and no jokes about the dangers of self-gratification and hirsute hands? You're slipping, people.

I'm just glad you and Cousin Itt were finally able to make the magic happen.

He looks to be a beautiful child, and I hope he grows up to make you both proud parents.

FYI, anyone who goes to Wikipedia and sees the articles for Peter, Jae, Joe Quesada and Glenn Hauman will see that the photos of them accompanying the articles are from the signings as well.

Honestly? It never even occurred to me until you brought it up. That's scary, considering I'm usually the first to read something dirty into everything.

in the photos did anyone else see Peter Palmiotti (who worked with Peter David on Aquaman) there? He is the guy buying the book with the black hat and jean backpack

Getting a bit more Yuppie in your old age, Peter - or is it just the City that brings out the clean shaved face and the handknit sweater look? Wish we could've been there, but nothing will get my balding spouse out in the cold - especially in New York City at midnight...

PAD the Dr. Phil of Muppets. "So, counting 1 to 10, how's that working for you?"

Damn, Evil Twin. We hardly look alike at all anymore. You've gone and gotten well-groomed. You look like a best-selling author-type guy.

Whereas I have lost a bit of weight, and dolled up for a job interview I look like a cross between Bogart and Brennan. With a beard.

Is it just me or does PAD look really hot in this picture? Probably just me, but kudos to Mr. David.

That's because it isn't your right hand we're worried about: What's the deal with your left hand? Why isn't it getting any action? Did it make it into a NASA space program or something?

1 Yes thats me buying a copy of your book! (my free copies from Marvel ran out years ago,..boohoo!) I thought the night went very well and the book is Awesome!!! Your writing based on King's work worked very well! Jae Lee, man that he is kicked ass! The color...simply amazing! My buddy and fellow Aquaman artist Jim Calafiore lent his skills to a map and some spot illustrations! Kudos to all involved! If you don't have a copy yet...get one!

Okay, I have to admit the first thing I thought when I saw the picture was that you were gradually becoming a Wookie. The second thought was "Quick, call security, Peter FINALLY caught Bill Myers disguised as a squirrel!" And by then, I had read the third post, which gave me the idea for a line about the habits of a lycanthrope for my movie. So, besides entertaining me for the last 20 years, you have also contributed to my magnum opus. I'll be sure you get credit.
