Great twist on Atlantis! However, I feel the art is not up to par with the writing. The story alone is worth it, though!

As long as it's not Greg Land, Rob Liefeld or John Byrne (yeah, THAT would happen) doing the "art," I'm happy.

As far as story, I'm a sucker for a good Fantastic Four yarn no matter what. I do like Ben's characterization here; he's a lot more comfortable with himself as a monster than modern-day Ben Grimm. Which is good, because emoness bugs the crap out of me. It seems that some things never really change in the Reed/Sue relationship - it's really been a problem with Reed in a lot of characterizations that he dehumanizes people, and seeing as how much it's always pissing off Sue in relation to her...well, let's just say I fully expect her to get a little Namor action next issue.

What? *I* would! Reed's a d**k!

This is off topic, but I don't remember a "Whad'ja think?" thread for Writing for Comics with Peter David.

I got the book for Christmas, and I very much enjoyed it. It's very well structured with a lot of good info. I wouldn't have minded a little more detail in some areas, but it was good.

I got Writing for Comics too. I really liked it.

Nice, FF of the past comes out at the same time as the FF of the future (June 2007 to be specific) comes out, at least the teaser trailer for FF: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER comes out (on Apple.com's movie trailers website).

Now is Peter writing the novelization for FF2 or SM3?

P.S. FF2 teaser looks way cool.

"Now is Peter writing the novelization for FF2 or SM3?"

He's writing the SM3 novelization. The author of the FF2 novelization hasn't been named yet. Amazon and Simonsays.com just list the author as "Marvel Comics."
