Okay, here's the thing: I'm working on a book for Krause Publications on writing comics, and I need some specific photographs. However I can't simply download them from the internet because there's copyright issues. So what I need is some very clear, reproducable digital photographs that were taken by travelers with their very own cameras, and who won't mind if I repro them in the book with the total payment being you get a photo credit and a free copy of the book.
Here's what I need:
Mount Rushmore
The Citicorp building in New York
The Twin Towers (pre-destruction, obviously)
Downtown Schenectady, or a sign reading "Welcome to Schenectady."
Yeah, I know, that last one might be a problem.
Anyone who can help me out, drop a note to me at padguy@aol.com.
Thanks.
PAD

I could make it look like a road sign, a pianted wooden sign... whatever you need.
Don't hesitate to ask if I can be of any assistance.
Later,
Chip
If you're willing to wait until the end of February, when I'll actually be in Schenectady (willingly, too), I can snap a picture for you. But I doubt you can wait that long.
Actually, I can help you with the last one since I live in Albany, although I must admit that this is one of the stranger requests I've ever had to fulfill. Expect a picture sometime this weekend. :)
Peter: I'll be driving through SD in a couple of weeks. I'll happily forward on a picture of Mt. Rushmore as soon as I get to Boston or thereabouts.
Geez, PAD, what've you got against the mid-west? You want a picture of Columbus Crew Stadium. You got it. One of Ft. Laurens in Bolivar, OH. Done. Pro Football Hall of Fame? On it's way yesterday. Picture of me in a thong. NO PROBLEM!I can't help you out with these others, though.
If'n ya need anything out Chicago's way, I'll snap 'em for ya.
Can't help with any of those, but if you need any St. Louis or Memphis photos, let me know.

Need anything from Nome, Alaska? I am moving there in two weeks...
I can get you the CitiCorp one on Thursday... I'll be heading in there, anyway.
-eD!
If you'd have asked back in March, I'd have made a special stop at the CitiCorp Building.
I have some pictures of the twin towers from an old trip to New York. Let me know if you want to see them.

have sent along a wtc picture taken from the Staten Island Ferry - we arn't tourists, we live out on SI (or as I call it, the Burrough of Misfit Toys) but I hope you can use it anyway.
And I had to choose this week to lead a boring, "live nowhere, go nowhere" life . . .
Um, I'm afraid that if I tried photographing these subject for you I'd probably end up on the various cable news networks with footage of me being tackled by the authorities and then showing my backpack being detonated! No thanks! ;)

If you need shots of Liberty Place, y'know, Philly's Twin Towers, for comparison or maybe downtown New Hope or maybe some horses, I can help you out. Although, if you needed any of that, I'm sure you would've said so. But still...
1I have some photos of me and my mom from about 15 years ago whne we were inside the twin towers. I can scan them and send them to you. J
Damn... you sure you don't need anything from Israel, Nervi (Genova, Italy) or Holland?
: )
Hi Peter! I just emailed you three Rushmore pictures. Let me know if you don't get them ... sometimes AOL chokes on messages from our server (overactive spam filter, or something).
It was great to see you at SDCC! -TJ
I work across the street from the Citicorp building and can bring my digicam to work tomorrow. Any particular angle you need?
Wow a free copy of the book if you are published?
I did some fan artwork for a picticular fan icon from a very popular starship franchise....that I can't name here for leagal reasons. I had my artwork published in their book.
This person took my "fan art" and published it in their book without my knowing about it. I was told it was a mistake it was published so I wasn't owed anything...not even a free copy of the book.
At least your offering credit and a free copy of the book. I do have some some photos of different states I've visited. Do they have to be digital?
Hey, TJ! Didn't I make you copies of the World Trade Center pics I took from when we went to the Statue of Liberty? Feel free to send those to Peter as my copies are buried in storage, half a continent away!
Please let me know if you need any pics of Schenectady, I live in the Stockade section, which is basically downtown.
