Slight Cowboy Pete Misstep...

Hi all. This is Kathleen (the wife) David.
There was a mishap with the VCR on Wednesday so we didn't get Smallville or West Wing. Anyone have a copy we can borrow/have?
E-mail me (Not Peter) at Puppetmaker (at) gmail.com
Thanks-
Kathleen

Why don't you just buck up and get a TiVo already? No more mishaps...

But get one from DirecTV. Recording two channels at once is absolutely necessary.

I hope you get them to see:

1) more horrible Smallville plot with some great character bits
2) a good West Wing white house episode that was like a return to the beginning, just a little less frenetic

I'd have to second the use of a TiVo. It was the ravings of Mark Evanier that got me interested way back when, and I've never regretted it. More to the point, the amount of hassle and work it saves you - for as little as $100, these days - really can't be overstated.

If no one has on tape, I think I can make a viewable DVD from my Tivo. Haven't tried sending it to another person and may be PC viewable only.

I taped this past week's Smallville (without commercials :)) email me if you want the copy.

*cough* just use bittorrent *cough*

Although this was the worst episode of Smallville I've ever seen, and that's really saying something.

I second wolfe's statement. http://www.tvtorrents.ws is my first destination when there's a burp in my service or my local channel decides to clip stuff or preempt things (like they did Veronica Mars last week)

Count another vote for TiVo. Very convenient and reliable, and one can fit more TV on the recorder than the typical VHS tape.
