The following will give you a link over to Lee Weeks' cover for Hulk #80.

Within the next day or so I'll also be putting up Lee's pencils for the cover of issue #81 which will be--I'm willing to bet--a t-shirt before the year is out.

If you have any say in the matter, I sure hope you keep writing the Hulk. I would enjoy the ride.

Very, very nice.
Let's hope that this partnership stays together for a very long time.
Nice cover, but who's the little guy with the knives in his hands?

SPOILERS! GO AWAY! NOW!
INCREDIBLE HULK #80
Written by Peter David
Pencils & Cover by Lee Weeks
"TEMPUS FUGIT"
It was just over thirty years ago that the Hulk fought a sawed-off, scrappy Canadian named Wolverine. And on the island where nothing is as it seems, he's returned--exactly as he was back then--to try and carve himself a piece of the Hulk. With an ending that you absolutely cannot miss! Part 4 (of 5).

Damn. Weeks is getting very impressive. With covers like this and with you writing the book, HULK's Diamond numbers should be getting back to a decent level.
My local comic shop guy just has a small store, but he told me Hulk is selling about twice what he normally sells as old customers return to buying it. I don't know what that means in numbers of books sold, but it sounds good.

Okay, now THAT put a big smile on my face. I can't wait to see the story that lies beneath that cover.
"On an island where nothing is as it seems..."
Y'know, if ONLY someone realised what a great idea for a TV show that would be.

(Not remotely using this opportunity to count the days since the last bonafide Cowboy Pete round-up.)
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this yet, but I've just seen some other good news - Marvel are publishing "Hulk Visionaries: Peter David vol 1" this week. Hopefully this will be the first of many, and should bode well for sales of the new monthly issues.
Spiffy.
Between this and the full issue preview of HULK #78 over at Mile High Comics' site (http://www.milehighcomics.com/firstlook/marvel/hulk78/), I'm one happy camper today!
If you had any doubts about the storyline from reading #77, #78 should pretty much eliminate them--and leave you with lotsa ooey gooey questions to ponder.
Oh, and page 12 (among many, many others) is just awesome. THIS is why Lee Weeks should be the regular HULK artist for many years to come.:-)

So hopefully this means you're going to give Hulk back his issue #181 impenatrable skin???? Please!!!!!
Oh, wow, Wolverine in another comic. Who'da thunk?
Is there any chance of seeing the old child like "Hulk Smash Banner" again? Or revisiting Jarella's world?
Oh, wow, Wolverine in another comic. Who'da thunk?
Hey man, don't knock it. Wolvie sells books, apparently and, more importantly, he and Hulk have an established history together. So it kinda fits. Unlike more recent places where Wolverine is popping up. *coughcough*Avengers*coughcough*
Very, very cool. Great Hulk writer, great artist. What else can you ask for.
Miniscule IH78 Spoiler:
Hey PAD, I remember you fixed one or two things after the MadroX #1 preview - so any chance of changing the IH1-Grey Hulk's "Hulk"s to "The Hulk"s on p3? Bit Savage Hulk
I read about 9 pages of that Hulk 78 preview. I couldn't help it, its like crack to me. Just a little taste.
Anyway, page 2 of 78 was perfect. Spectaular. Black comedy, good quotes, teen angst. Awesome page. Wheeee.
Can't wait to read the rest . . .
... even though the rest is just a few keystrokes away . . .
....ARGH!
Now that is some original art that I'd like to own...
{awestruck} Holy frickin' wow.
Life either goes by too fast or too slow.
Nice illustration. The Hulk looks appropriately menacing, but I don't think the smaller guy is ever going to catch on with comics fans.
Same with those horseless carriage contraptions on the roads these days. Don't care what Carl Benz, Ernst Daimler, Charles Brady King, and their fellows say. Those things are just a passing fad.

I am posting this here, for lack of a better place.
1) I was pleased to have PAD introduction in the Visionaries trade. I hope they collect your whole run. That would be a lot of volumes, but I will love rereading them without going to my storage space.
2) I loved the end of Madrox. And another tease for your next project! So is it related to Madrox? What is it? Eeeerrrggg. So curious. I'll buy it - I am sure.
