Just last week, I was at Penn Station, chatting with Tom DeFalco. All unknowing, I asked how his wife was. "Not good," said Tom, then paused a moment and said, "Cancer." Caught flatfooted and having to rush to make my train, I asked if they were treating it. Tom kind of half nodded in a noncommittal fashion, and I said I'd call for an update and find out what was going on.
Tom didn't let on how bad it was, because Pat DeFalco passed away a few days later. My condolences go out to Tom and his family on the tragic loss of this sweet woman whom I met on several occasions. Tom has requested that if people are so inclined, they should make donations in Pat's name to the American Cancer Society.

Yes, please give our best wishes to Tom and his family.
MY condolences to the family and friends of the family.
MY should be My. Sometimes my cap button sticks. I didn't mean to emphasize that word.

Condolences and best wishes to Tom DeFalco and the rest of the family.
Having just won my own fight against cancer I've seen what it does to a person and their family. The financial and emotional damage is hard on everyone involved. The only thing that's worse then the fight against the big "C"...is losing the battle. My condolences go out to Tom and his family. I griev for his loss
Thank you for the update, Peter. I taught clinicals this semester in an oncology unit, and I feel for any family having to come to grips with this. Btw: Give my best to Rande and Beth.
My condolences and prayers go to Tom and his family.
I had heard about Pat DeFalco's passing during last week. My sincere condolences to Mr. DeFalco and his family.

My 3 year old daughter had cancer when she was one and was lucky enough to come through the treatment okay. Our condolences to Tom and his family.
I've had one friend survive Hodgkin's disease and another friend lose his father to pancreatic cancer. Remember people, when it comes to surviving cancer, the two most important words are: early detection.
My condolences to Tom Defalco and I hope that PAD (or someone else who knew her) will write a memorial for those of us who didn't get to know her.
Although I never got to meet Pat, Tom DeFalco has always seemed like one of the nicest people, period.
My heart goes out to Tom and the rest of his family.
Having lost my father two years ago after an eight-year off-and-on fight with that batch of diseases, I know something of the pain his family's facing and will face. Please pass along my best to them as well, Peter?
Yours in respect and sadness,
Dwight
