Kign Arthur 2004.JPG

Right before the picture was taken Caroline tried to pull my hat off. More pictures later.

Long live the King!

That's a snazzy photo, Mr. David, but remember this: strange women, lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no means of government. Supreme authority must come by a mandate from the masses. Of course I'm paraphrasing here.

Best,
Mark

Peter, KINGS do NOT have "hats". They have crowns.

-- Ken from Chicago

P.S. Besides, I'm sure the fair Princess Caroline (ooh, that could be trouble) merely wanted a crown for her queen/mum.

Is it just me, or does PAD remind anyone of King Tut from the old Batman TV show?

Posted by: adam schwartz at September 20, 2004 08:52 PM

Ah! Baby... too... cute. Can't... resist... cuteness.

Posted by: Bill Mulligan at September 20, 2004 10:20 PM

eclark,

Damn! yeah, PAD would make an awesome King Tut. There's a picture of Victor Buono at http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/7537/tut.htm for those who don't know. (Looks like Victor outweighed PAD by quite a bit though).

If the campy Batman were still being made wouldn't Kelsey Grammer be a good choice? And the guy who played Niles could be The Bookworm.

Excuse me, I'm having a "You've wasted your life" moment.

Forgot to add--that is one majorly cute kid!

Aww, Caroline is so ADORABLE!!!

Peter, KINGS do NOT have "hats". They have crowns.

Ahh, but the post isn't signed by Peter. So it wasn't his crown Caroline tried to remove.

PAD,

Caroline is one major league cute child. And this is coming from a dad with two cute young daughters. You must be very proud.

Regards,

Dennis

Now that's a cute little girl!
And a pretty darned impressive royal set of parents too.

I hope you were accorded full royal honors at the Renfaire!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. She is our cutie. She liked riding in the backpack because it gave her a preview of her potential height.

Caroline tried to pull off MY hat before the picture was taken. You can see it perched on top of my head rather than in place.

I am going to continue to improve the costumes for next year.

Posted by: EClark1849 at September 21, 2004 09:14 AM

By golly, she really was folling him around with coconuts!

My costume would have been more ostentatious, cause I'm like... sort of just sick that way. I would have been pushing a cart around, loaded with dummies that appeared dead. I would have kept shouting, "Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!" Ocassionally one of the dummies would rise up and I'd pick up a large rock and throw it at it to "kill" it !

Great picture Peter, but where are the the three-headed knights who say "Ni--! ???

But what is the windspeed velocity of an African swallow?

Posted by: Carl at September 21, 2004 01:34 PM

Damn, that's a keeper! Ohhhhhhhhh, should I use that as my new desktop wallpaper? I love it!

Posted by: Mike M. at September 21, 2004 06:36 PM

Awesome picture! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of PAD without glasses.

Fantastic costumes, Kathleen! Next time you guys need to bring a video camera. The site could definitely use some galloping vids.
