WHICH SF/FANTASY CHARACTER ARE YOU?

I took the quiz at http://www.tk421.net/character/. Interestingly, I'm "John Sheridan." *Now* I know why I felt so comfortable writing the character.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

Well I just took the survey and...

Palpatine

A mastermind of maneuvering surrounding forces, you care little for the concerns of those in your way.

Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.

I always wanted to be a DARK JEDI (SITH LORD)

Gandalf...interesting, I must admit I didn't see it coming.

Posted by: Grenadier at October 10, 2003 02:31 PM

Wesley Crusher. I think I'm going to be ill now. Think that's a sign that I need to make some changes? :-)

Posted by: Frank Baker at October 10, 2003 02:54 PM

Yoda.

Interestingly enough, I trimmed my ear hair this morning (for the first time in my life).

Posted by: Brian Smith at October 10, 2003 02:54 PM

I'm Yoda! "A venerated sage with vast power and knowledge, you gently guide forces around you while serving as a champion of the light."

And I didn't see it coming, either, especially since my duties as a newspaper editor preclude my swapping around the orders of sentences. :)

Hmm... do I fear the future, or embrace it?

Yoda, am I. Surprised I am not.

Wesley Crusher. I'm simultaneously honored and insulted.

Posted by: Mark L at October 10, 2003 03:07 PM

I did this earlier this week. I ended up as Gandalf, which still surprises me. My 9-year-old daughter ended up as Deleen, which fits her very well.

(Hmm, PAD is Sheridan, and my daughter Deleen, this just has bad things written all over it....)

Posted by: William at October 10, 2003 03:09 PM

Jean-Luc Picard. A little surprised, but I guess it does make sense to me. I do, however, have more hair.

Since I’ve never seen a full episode of Babylon5, I’m not really qualified to comment on this. So what does this mean? Good? Bad?

Sean Jackson (who turned out to be Anakin Skywalker): Hmm... do I fear the future, or embrace it?

Luigi Novi: Who cares. Either way, your acting sucks.

Kathleen: Well I am Yoda and Ariel is Leia. Caroline is Gollum based on her ID personality as a baby.

Luigi Novi: Well, everyone sees their own baby as “precious.” :-)

I guess I'm G'kar. That's cool...but isn't this a pic of Captain Na'Kal? Y'know, NOT G'kar?

Posted by: Steve Chung at October 10, 2003 03:57 PM

I ended up as Princess Leia, who wants to spread peace all around her.

Ugh.

Let me be the first to say that I am... Obi Wan Kenobi!

I can live with that, especially since they used a pic of Ewan MacGregor instead of Alec Guiness.

I'd post the pic, but I honestly dont have a clue as toi how.

I, too, came up with Sheridan, which may explain why I so often agree with PAD's opinions. :)

Now, if only I'd ever seen an episode of B5... I gave up after the pilot. Time to take a look again, I think...

Posted by: RabidWolfe at October 10, 2003 07:03 PM

Posted by: Adam Hoffman at October 10, 2003 08:01 PM

I ended up being Samwise Gamgee. I think that's rather fitting actually. It helps that he's one of my favorite characters from Lord of the Rings. I always seem to prefer the loyal sidekicks to the heroes and villains.

No, I'm a guy who ended up as Galadriel as well.

Posted by: Tim Lynch at October 10, 2003 09:56 PM

My initial one came out as Picard (which doesn't surprise me, as I had the very quote they use in my .sig for a while). When I went back and tweaked a couple of questions I was on the fence about, I either remained Picard or became Wesley.

I can deal. Wes had his moments later on, and Wil Wheaton's a neat guy.

And if I wind up bald later in life, I can only hope I pull it off as stylishly as old J-L.

Just glad I didn't end up as Wesley Crusher. Woooo - really dodged a bullet there. (Sorry to all those who got hit, and fately wounded by that bullet)

Well, here's one more guy who ended up as Galadriel. I'm sure that's a good thing but I would have gotten a bigger kick out of being Zontar, The Thing From Venus or even one of the flying Brain thingies from FIEND WITHOUT A FACE.

But at least I wasn't Wesley Crusher. Boy, would THAT suck.

Posted by: jeff at October 10, 2003 11:22 PM

Kinda suprised, Aragorn. Was expecting a Spock or Yoda.

Came out as Picard. Kinda saw it coming as I took the quiz, but am please with the result. TNG is good stuff.

Posted by: Wesley "Nekouken" Crusher at October 11, 2003 03:56 AM

Thanks for making me feel so much better about myself, fellas.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the reference is the character himself, not the public perception of the character.

That being the case, Wesley Crusher was a highly intelligent youth; inventive, inquisitive, and had a penchant for seeking wisdom. Ultimately, he overcame his physical and social inferiority and was handed the keys to the universe.

That's not so bad.

For the record, I've discovered a couple of things:

A willingness to sacrifice your own well-being for the good of the world is the only thing that keeps Legolas from being "Bones" McCoy.

Belief in the afterlife is the one difference between the Princess Bride's Prince Humperdinck and Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort, who is one dead best friend away from Anakin Skywalker.

I, Wesley Crusher, would best be suited to star in a buddy cop film with my exact opposite, Han Solo.

Posted by: Blade CossinsPitcher at October 11, 2003 07:14 AM

lol! I am glad to say I am the first one here to say he is Raistlin from Dragonlance!

"An intensely private individual that chooses actions with care, you strive to further your own skills and powers.

This happens because I choose it to happen!"

Since he is one of my favorite characters, I like it, but I am not really sure it is a compliment and even less sure I ressemble him mentaly (physically, I am very skinny , so that might fit lol)

Caroline is Gollum based on her ID personality as a baby.

Inspired by this, my wife and I took the quiz, answering as we thought appropriate for our baby girl. And what do we discover?

OK, so Boromir might not exactly the character one aspires to be, but then again, that's not so bad for a 16-month-old. ;)

Posted by: Bill Mulligan at October 11, 2003 11:00 AM

Well, dammit all to heck, my wife just took the test and came back as MAGNETO. What the hell kind of world is it where a man finds out that the sci fi character he most resembles is Galadriel and his wife, the gentlest of creatures, get to be Mag-frikkin-neto?

Ok, now I have to go, oh, I don't know, ride around in a stinking swan boat or something, while the wife fulfills her malefic destiny. Jesus, what a gyp.

Posted by: Steve at October 11, 2003 04:51 PM

The first time I took the test I said I would rig the next election to make things better and came out as Obi-Wan.

But before 2000 I would have chosen not to do this, so I took the test again changing only that one answer and came out as Gandalf.

Cool!
