I didn't watch, but I always enjoy highlights tapes later in the year. So, I'd like to thank her unborn child in advance for her large breasts, as well.
In fact, I'd like to thank all unborn children everywhere for their tireless work in making the world a more buxom place.
I'd like to thank Mary-Louise Parker and her breasts for making the second installment of Angels in America infinitely more watchable. ;)

I didn't even bother watching the Golden Globes (the awards show, not the other pair!). The Oscars have always seemed that much more important, if only because you know that more people -- all over the world -- are watching them.

Hey, for $1,000, I'd thank my newborn son for my boobs on national TV, even though I have neither (a) a newborn son, or (b) boobs. Money is money, bling-bling.
And I have to say that I was shocked by how low-budget the Golden Globe awards looked. The Oscars get held in a grand theater with big musical numbers and lavish sets, while the Golden Globes were held in a medium-sized hotel banquet room with a stage that was buttressing up to the guests' tables. Not that I have anything against the awards themselves, but I think if they couldn't have gone for the world-class production look, they shouldn't have bothered getting the air time.

It's because they really aren't awards... it's a dinner. It's the Foreign Press... and that's why LOTR:ROTK won. Because most of the others didn't do as well overseas. Hell, if Richard Curtis showed up, and no other director of a comedy, He would have won for Love Actually.

It's not ever Really the foregin press. It's a group of about 100 guys who take bribes and payoffs like mad. If you get Trio, they had a great documentry about it a month or so ago.
Yeah, the Globes are completely pointless, but that's what makes stuff like this so much fun. If even the honorees don't take it that seriously, you get potential for great comedy.

Hey, I'm just glad LOTR and Lost in Translation won stuff.
Lost in Translation is the only movie I'll be okay with winning the Best Picture Oscar that's not LOTR.

Did anybody else catch "the Golden Globes: Hollywood's Dirty Little Secret" on Trio last week? Very interesting stuff...
I loved her acceptance speech. And the dress and it's contents weren't bad either. Just too bad that she was dumped by the jerk of a father, actor Billy Crudup (Almost Famous) when she was 7 1/2 months pregnant.
As for the Golden Globes, it was a light and breezy broadcast. Hey they passed out the last award at 10:53! Can you believe they actually had to kill time to get to the end of the show? The Oscars should try doing that sometime.
It's funny that Ricky Gervais had the one of the funniest lines of the night when he said he was from England, "we used to run the world before you," because I thought it was a complete travesty he and his show won the two awards they were up for. The show is patently unfunny.

Looking at the photos in the USA Today this morning, three actresses really stood out to me besides Mary Louise Parker: Scarlett Johansson, Amber Tamblyn and Evan Rachel Wood. I'm not fashion expert, but they looked fantastic!

Seems the followup question that no one's asking is how the heck Parker managed to lose all the weight elsewhere that quickly after giving birth (I may be wrong, but I seem to recall reading the birth was within the last month).
How can anyone in their right mind sit through that shit and watch it???? It's all politics now. They might as well forget about handing out the awards and just let the actors spew their adjendas for the whole time. Cause that's basically, what it boils down too. I've stopped watching this crap years ago.

I love watching the Golden Globes because they *are* so much less formal than the Oscars. That, and it's fun to see the celebs get increasingly drunk (or otherwise substance-addled) as the night goes on.
I fell in love with Mary Louise's characther on the West Wing. A sexy feminist who doesn't know when to quit? Somebody give me a spinoff! Seriously though she looked fantastic last night.
